Miami Subs Grill is heating up something different this summer with the introduction of angus steak burgers to the sandwich chain's menu.

Miami Subs Grill had previously sold burger patties that were frozen. The new menu offers fresh angus steak patties that are never frozen, and double the size of the burgers with two patties. Changes also include baked brioche and multigrain rolls.

"We at the new Miami Subs Grill want consumers and our franchisees to know that expansion and remarkable growth is in our future," said Frank Baran, Miami Subs Grill vice president, in a press release. "The new angus steak burgers reflect the many planned new menu offerings we'll be launching at our restaurants."

The new burger menu includes speciality meals, like the "Nacho Ordinary Burger" double-stacked with nacho cheese, jalapenos, crispy onion rings, lettuce and tomato, the "Big Havana" double-stacked with Swiss American cheese, grilled ham, pickles, mustard, lettuce and tomato and the "Bistro Burger" double-stacked with grilled mushrooms and onions, Swiss American Cheese, South Beach sauce, lettuce and tomato. The 6-ounce burgers range in price from $4.29 to $5.29.

Miami Subs Grill, based in South Florida, opened its first restaurant in 1988. Recently, the chain is expanding into Latin America countries like Guyana, Hondoras and Brazil.
