Canada-based The Second Cup Coffee Company Inc. will open its first café south of the border in Pembroke Pines later this year. The café company will open several stores in Florida this year with franchise partner, Coffee by the Sea. The first café will open this fall in the Pembroke Lakes Square on Pines Boulevard. The Second Cup Coffee Company began in Toronto 36 years ago and began expanding internationally in 2003. Other locations are in Europe and the Middle East. The stores sell coffee and other café items.
