Toys R Us will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, adding to the retail trend to push holiday shoppers out of homes well before midnight on Black Friday. The Wayne, New Jersey retailer will offer a free $30 goodie bag stuffed with toys to the first 200 shoppers in line on Thursday, according to a release. The first 200 shoppers in line on Thanksgiving will receive a complimentary "Great Big Goody Bag" filled with $30 in stocking stuffers. The retailer also will offer more than 200 doorbusters deals and free gifts on toys Thursday through Saturday. Some of the offers: A free $20 Toys RUs Gift Card and $30 bonus iTunes Multipack valued at $50 with the purchase of a 4th Gen Apple 16GB iPod touch; a free Nintendo 3DS Headset ($29.99 value) with the purchase of any Nintendo 3DS Hardware and $100 savings on Samsung Galaxy 11 Tablets (was $399) and $50 off a COBY 19" LED HD TV– (was $149.99). "With Toys"R"Us stores opening at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving evening, an early stop at The World's Greatest Toy Store will allow savvy savers across the country even more hours to shop for Black Friday values on the toys their children named in their letters to Santa," according to the press release. Toys R Us will preview deals to its 3.2 million fans on the Facebook starting at noon on Monday. Grab your BFF and head to Starbucks for buy-one-get-one free holiday beverages from 2 to 5 p.m. THursday through Sunday, Nov. 20. No coupon is necessary. Just in time for holiday shopping, the world's largest outlet mall gets larger. Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise is set to celebrate the recently opened 140,000-square-foot expansion with a "Fashion So Sweet" shopping party at 6 p.m. Thursday. The new wing at the Simon property, known as Fashion Row, is anchored by the largest Calvin Klein outlet in the country, an uber-hot Steve Madden shoe store, DKNY Company Store and a MaxStudio outlet, among other retailers. Lauren Tannehill, wife of Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill will get the party started as a DJ spins and cocktails and nibbles are served. There will be exclusive promotions at the new stores and a coupon book offering $500 in savings will be available for a small fee. Tannehill tells us all about the event and talks about life in South Florida in an exclusive SouthFlorida.com interview. "It's an exciting event," Tannehill said. "They've added a Steve Madden, which I love. They're also undergoing a huge expansion for Forever 21, which is a huge hit at any mall. I'll be wearing an outfit from MaxStudio." The event benefits the nonprofit Emerge Broward, a nonprofit a Leadership Broward Foundation program. "Fashion So Sweet is a great way for us to celebrate all of the exciting new additions enhancing Sawgrass Mills' unique shopping experience," said Joellyn Fellmeth, the mall's director of marketing, in a release.
