| Target opening at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving for Black Friday Posted: 12 Nov 2012 07:53 AM PST
Target continues the retail trend of pushing Black Friday into Thanksgiving Day. For the first time, the Minneapolis-based retailer will open its doors at 9 p.m. on Nov. 22, according to a release. The retailer plans to offer 9 p.m. doorbuster deals on hot electronics and toys and also will offer additional deals starting at 4 a .m. It also will offer special deals online only at Target.com on Thanksgiving Day for REDcard holders. "We heard from our guests that they look forward to kicking off their holiday shopping with deal-hunting on Thanksgiving night. Opening at 9 p.m. gives Target's Black Friday guests a more convenient way to create an after-dinner shopping event that the entire family can enjoy," said Kathee Tesija, executive vice president, Merchandising, Target, said in a release. "Guests can shop with confidence throughout the entire holiday weekend knowing that Target offers incredible value on items for decorating, entertaining and gift giving." Target holiday hours:
